It trains individuals with a humanistic vision, capable of developing processes of research, planning, execution, and evaluation of strategies and tactics in the resolution of any legal issue. This is done within the framework of a globalized and constantly changing environment, based on ethical principles and values. Graduates in this area will be able to work as trial lawyers, legal administrators, public defenders, aspiring judges, notaries public, and public prosecutors.

Edward A. Abreu Acevedo

Dean of the School of Law and Political Science

Outstanding legal professional, candidate for a Doctorate in Law at the University of Castilla-La Mancha. He has master’s degrees in Economic Criminal Law and Civil Law. He has obtained international certifications, such as Compliance Officer (CICO), and has completed diplomas in topics such as organized crime. Since 2018, he has been a Judge of the Criminal Chamber of the Court of First Instance of the National District and a lecturer at universities such as UASD and UNICARIBE. He has published legal articles and participated in national and international congresses. He is a member of the Judicial Career and the Dominican Bar Association.
