Promote an innovative and relevant offer that allows the development of students’ competencies according to the educational offer of this level. Promote the permanent strengthening of quality, through counseling, evaluation and attention to students, professors, stakeholders, internal and external clients, to contribute to the development of UNICARIBE.

FUNCTIONS

    • To follow up and accompany the units that correspond to the structure of the vice-rectorate.
    • To develop postgraduate and continuing education curricular programs to be offered by the institution.
    • Coordinate the implementation, operation and logistics of the educational programs offered.
    • Design promotion and publicity strategies for graduate and continuing education programs in coordination with the competent authorities.
    • Coordinate the updating of study plans and programs to maintain current content in accordance with educational trends and student needs.
    • Ensure the proper development of postgraduate courses, diploma courses, courses, and specialized training.
    • Evaluate and select the teaching staff to be hired for the development of the subjects according to programs and design action strategies together with the vice-rectorate’s departments aimed at strengthening the quality and efficiency of the postgraduate offerings.
Dra. Clara Elisa Tapia Nin

Vice-Rector of Postgraduate Studies

She has a broad academic background and professional experience; she has expertise in different areas of knowledge, especially in the educational field. She holds a PhD in Educational Technology and Distance Education from Nova Southeastern University. She has several master’s degrees: in Education (INTEC), International Management of Universities (University of Alcalá) and in Defense and National Security (Graduate Institute of High Strategic Studies EGAE). Postgraduate studies in: Socio pedagogy, Psychopedagogy, Geopolitics of the Caribbean; Bachelor in Law Magna Cum Laude; Normalist Teacher and Bachelor in Physics and Mathematics.

Her training also includes the IGLU Course (University Management and Leadership) and more than 30 Diplomas taken in different countries; among the most recent are: Latin American Postgraduate Course in Scientific Diplomacy of Neuroscience; Educational Planning with Sensitivity to Crises; Edition 2021; International Diploma New ICT and Virtual Teaching; Certification E-Learning ICT Tools; Certification Design and Tutoring of Virtual Courses with Moodle; among others.
