The Master’s Program in Distance Education is designed to help students build the necessary knowledge regarding the foundations and methodological considerations of distance and blended learning modalities. The curriculum covers the historical development of distance education, as well as an analysis of its current potential and future prospects.
By reflecting on our origins and listening to the pressing needs arising from the Dominican Republic’s development—as defined by the National Development Strategy within the context of global society and the changes taking place in the country’s development model— we have reviewed our academic offerings in light of trends in the information society, the knowledge economy, and telecommunications.
This curriculum is designed to address new educational demands, which place university administration at the forefront. Furthermore, it is based on the regulatory framework of Law 139-01 on Higher Education in the Dominican Republic and on the guidelines for developing the graduate profiles for the various degree programs, in accordance with Regulation 01-23, the MINERD Performance Standards, and the MINPRE Professional Profiles.

UNICARIBE’s Master’s Degree in Planning and Project Management for Sustainable Development trains professionals prepared to lead complex projects in public and private contexts, integrating environmental, social and economic criteria under international standards. The program develops skills to formulate, evaluate and manage projects with a territorial approach, measurable impact and long-term sustainability, contributing strategically to responsible development and informed decision making.
