Steps in the Graduation Process

Go to window one to check your file.

Go to the library to confirm the books to donate according to your degree program. Important: When purchasing the book, you must present a tax receipt (your own or institutional RNC).

Deliver the book to the library with the invoice and a tax receipt (your own or institutional RNC). Then proceed to pay the graduation fee and collect your cap and gown from registration window one.

Get ready for the big day.

Dress Code and Capes

- Capes

The cape is a symbolic element of academic attire, representing the culmination of the educational cycle.

  • • It is delivered together with the graduation fee payment.
    • You must keep it in good condition for the ceremony.
    • It will be a mandatory part of the uniform on the day of the event.

  • • Formal dress or outfit in navy blue, white, and black.
  • • Closed shoes (medium or low heels recommended).
  • • Discreet makeup.

Graduates

  • • Formal attire (preferred colors: black, navy blue, and white).
  • • White or light-colored shirt.
  • • Shoes to match formal attire.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

No. In accordance with institutional policies, students must fulfill their academic commitments in full. All courses must be passed in order to be eligible for graduation.

Only in exceptional cases. Withdrawal of the degree outside of the ceremony entails an institutional reprimand and the corresponding payment at the cashier’s office. Exceptions must be duly justified and approved by the administration.

No. Graduation is a solemn occasion. Graduates must remain until the ceremony ends, out of respect for the significance of the event and the other participants.

You are officially on the list once you have made the payment for the graduation process.

Graduation takes place in person.

One (1) guest per graduate is permitted to attend.

Steps to request your LVI Graduation Dossier

  1. 1. Access the Services Platform
    The platform will be available on graduation day. Make sure you log in on time.

  2. 2. Go to the option “Request for LVI Graduation Dossier.”

  3. 3. Submit your application
    Follow the steps indicated by the system to request your dossier.

  4. 4. Check the estimated follow-up date
    Once you have completed your application, the system will show you the estimated date on which you should log back into the CONECTA platform.

  5. 5. Check the reference number
    On the date indicated, log back into CONECTA to verify the reference number under which your dossier was sent to MESCyT.

*Remember that this payment is waived at the University; however, when you pick up the dossier at MESCyT, you will have to make an additional payment for that procedure.*

*After the Grace Period* To request the Graduation Dossier:

  1. 1. Access the Services Platform
  2. 2. Go to the Academic Services Desk at the Registrar’s Office.
    You must go to this section so that your request can be reviewed and approved by the appropriate staff.

  3. 3. Make the payment
    Once your application has been approved, the system will enable the option to make the corresponding payment.

  4. 4. Check the estimated follow-up date
    After completing the application, the system will indicate an estimated date on which you must log back into the CONECTA platform.

  5. 5. Check the file number
    On the date indicated, log in to CONECTA to check the file number under which your dossier was sent to MESCyT.

*Remember that this payment is waived at the University; however, when you pick up the dossier at MESCyT, you will have to make an additional payment for that procedure.*

You have a one-month grace period after graduation to request it at no cost. After that period, an additional fee will be charged for delivery.
