Marllin Villegas Mota, Master in Management and University Teaching, Universidad Católica Santo Domingo, (UCSD), Marketer, Director of Student Welfare of the University of the Caribbean with 16 years of experience in the administrative and teaching University, certified expert in BlackBoard Academy. Diplomas: Modern Management and Sign Language (UNICARIBE).
Student Welfare is a unit of the Academic Vice Rectory, aimed at providing direct services to students. These services are preventive in nature, through activities that provide information and guidance that students will need in their academic life.
Services
- The purpose of Academic Orientation is to provide follow-up and counseling to the student population when required.
- Recognition for academic excellence Delivery of the graduation ring and special recognition with refund of all the money invested in the career, as a way to motivate them to continue training and specializing. In addition the delivery of the graduation ring for obtaining the highest academic index.
- Recreation and Scholarships, organized groups of the Institution (Theater and Sports), for the approval of the same is taken into account academic performance, responsibility and skills acquired in the area of choice through auditions. Total exoneration of payments to students with disabilities.
- Within the framework of Medical Services, the Institution accompanies students in the processes of primary care and first aid, issuance of medical certificates and family planning and reproductive health.

- Personalized academic counseling as an element of student support in different areas of knowledge.
- Complaints, difficulties, dissatisfaction with teachers or services offered by the University, psychological counseling for situations that affect academic development, management and strategies for study habits.
