Edward A. Abreu Acevedo

Dean of the School of Law and Political Science

Outstanding legal professional, candidate for a Doctorate in Law at the University of Castilla-La Mancha. He has master’s degrees in Economic Criminal Law and Civil Law. He has obtained international certifications, such as Compliance Officer (CICO), and has completed diplomas in topics such as organized crime. Since 2018, he has been a Judge of the Criminal Chamber of the Court of First Instance of the National District and a lecturer at universities such as UASD and UNICARIBE. He has published legal articles and participated in national and international congresses. He is a member of the Judicial Career and the Dominican Bar Association.

 

 

The academic programs incorporate subjects that allow students to build a critical and analytical thinking regarding the implications of the development of the State, structuring a social order, based on policies maintaining a cross-cutting approach to inclusion.

 

The main objective of the school is to train lawyers, political scientists and specialists in international relations, capable of responding to the challenges of society, respectful of established norms and rules, and to provide them with the tools that allow them to respond to the legal and political problems of today.
