Graduate Profile
Graduates of the Diploma in Radiation Protection will have the following competencies:
Ability to implement safety measures that reduce exposure to ionizing radiation, protecting personnel, patients and the general public.
Mastery of regulations such as the Standard for the Authorization of Practices Associated with the Use of Ionizing Radiation, and other relevant standards to ensure legal and technical compliance.
Ability to operate, control and supervise the use of radiation emitting equipment, ensuring safe practices in environments such as nuclear medicine, radiology or research laboratories.
Technical knowledge for the proper handling of radioactive waste and its transfer according to established safety requirements.
Competence to train and sensitize occupationally exposed personnel on the responsible use and risks of radiation.
